Abelia engleriana is a rare species of Abelia producing a vigorous medium sized shrub with reddish tinged shoots and glossy green, taper-pointed leaves. Apricot flowers with a yellow throat are produced.

Position: Requires a warm and sheltered position from prevailing winds or plant against a warm wall, in free draining soils.

Pruning: May need hard pruning every 3-4 years.
