Ways To Order

If you order from us you can be assured of top quality plants, gifts and garden essentials, hand-picked, carefully packed and speedily despatched to ensure that your order arrives in perfect condition. We provide a friendly, personal service and we are always more than happy to discuss your requirements with expert advice always on hand.

  1. Online: is quick, easy and secure. Shop for plants, gifts or garden essentials.
  2. Telephone: Call us Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm on 01384 401996.
  3. Postal: We provide printable order forms on our Online Shop for most of our speciality plants and seed (Hellebores, Cyclamen, Hepaticas, Lewisias and Primula auricula).


Online Shop: On receipt of your order, you will receive an automatically generated confirmation of order. You will receive a notification of when we despatch your order. Please allow 7-10 days for processing of all online orders. For urgent requests please contact us by telephone on 01384 401996 and we will do our best to help you.

Orders by Telephone and Post: We will check availability and we will confirm acceptance of your order by email or telephone. You will receive a notification of when we will be despatching your order.


Online Shop:

Secure online payment using Sagepay. All major credit cards are accepted apart from American Express and JCB cards.

Orders by Telephone and Post:

Our preferred method of payment is by credit card. All are accepted apart from American Express and JCB cards and these are processed securely via our PCI Compliant EPOS system.

We accept cheques from the UK for orders by telephone and post but the following guidelines must be observed.

If paying by cheque:

  • Please send an undated limited amount cheque to the maximum value of your order.
  • Please make your cheque payable to Ashwood Nurseries Ltd.
  • Please leave the amount box clear, but limit your cheque to the maximum amount of your order.
  • This will keep our banking costs to a minimum, avoiding the necessity of refunds in the event of crop failure and ensuring that your cheque does not expire before we can fulfill your order.
  • Due to the high cost of bank handling charges for international cheques we can only accept payment from our international customers by credit card.  We do not except American Express or JCB cards.


Click and Collect orders will be available for collection 2 days after order confirmation and will be held for a further 2 days. If the order is not collected during that time it will automatically be returned to stock. Payment for Click and Collect orders is in-store only.


If you have pre-ordered goods online, we will endeavour to fulfil the order by the estimated availability date (this can be found below the price on the product page). Once your goods are available, we will contact you to discuss delivery. Payment will not be taken for pre-ordered goods until up to 2 days prior to despatch.  You will have the opportunity to review your order as costs may vary slightly from those originally quoted.


If your order is for a gift add a special greeting at no extra cost. Simply let us know your greeting and the date you would like the recipient to receive the item by and we will do our best to make your gift extra special. Add your request to the customer comments box at the checkout or on the paper order form.
