Overview

A superb deciduous winter flowering shrub. Very fragrant, rich deep golden orange spider like flowers on leafless arching branches from December to March. Hairy hazel like foliage turning scarlet and orange in autumn and an upright habit makes this a good choice for the smaller garden.

Position: Requires a cool, moist but well drained neutral to acid soil in partial shade.

Pruning: No regular pruning necessary. Any diseased, damaged, congested or crossing shoots. Shoots that are growing in unwanted directions can also be pruned out late winter or early spring.
