Overview

A lovely winter flowering deciduous shrub. Abundant scented spider like deep yellow flowers on leafless branches from December to March. Hazel like foliage turns a lovely reddish colour in autumn.

Position: Requires a cool, moist but well drained neutral to acid soil in partial shade.

Pruning: No regular pruning necessary. Any diseased, damaged, congested or crossing shoots. Shoots that are growing in unwanted directions can also be pruned out late winter or early spring.
