Overview

An upright deciduous shrub or small tree, with oval green leaves, turning to shades of orange and yellow in Autumn. Lightly scented ruby red flowers in late winter and early spring.

Position: Requires a cool, moist but well drained neutral to acid soil in partial shade.

Pruning: No regular pruning necessary. Any diseased, damaged, congested or crossing shoots. Shoots that are growing in unwanted directions can also be pruned out late winter or early spring.
