Acer rubrum ‘October Glory’ is a dense, round-headed tree of medium-size, with glossy green leaves turning a vivid red in the autumn, and holding on to its leaves quite late. In spring, red flowers are produced on bare branches.

Acer rubrum ‘October Glory’ is a dense, round-headed tree of medium size, with glossy green leaves turning a vivid red in the autumn,and holding on to its leaves quite late.  In spring, red flowers are produced on bare branches.  Tolerant of a variety of soils in any aspect in sun or partial shade.  

Position: Requires a rich moist humus rich but well drained soil in a position sheltered from sun and strong winds.

Pruning: Little or no pruning required.
