Acer platanoides ‘Princeton Gold’ is a golden leaved Norway Maple.  Retaining its colour throughout the season, this fast growing tree is scorch resistant in even the hottest summers.  Its brightly coloured foliage makes it an excellent subject for lighting up dull areas of the garden.

Position: Requires a rich moist humus rich but well drained soil in a position sheltered from sun and strong winds.

Pruning: Thin some of the branches to encourage new growth up to a quarter of the branches can removed each year. It is advisable to carry this out during the summer as it will cut down on any risk of disease entering the pruning cuts.
