An excellent garden hybrid, easy, robust and trouble-free. Long-lasting plum-coloured flowers appear as early as December. An old variety but still worthy of a place in the garden.

Position: Very tolerant of most soils. They prefer a sheltered position in semi shade with a rich, moist free draining soil.

Cultural advice:  Remove old leaves in late December. Remove old faded flower stems after flowering, unless you require the seed, to encourage next year’s new growth.
