Prunus ‘Kanzan’ is a popular, medium sized tree, strong growing with stiffly ascending branches when young and later spreading.  Large, showy, double purple-pink flowers emerge along with coppery-red young foliage.  

Position: They are easy to grow on almost any well drained soil, but are most successful on chalky soils, prefering a sunny position

Pruning: No pruning required.
