Overview

Unusual spiky leaves with a distinct spine to the end of the deep green foliage. Very choice and not offered for sale very often. Woodland conditions in dappled shade with a moist soil.
This plant is summer dormant and will regrow in autumn.

Ferns are amazingly tolerant but are generally happiest in partial or dappled shade on any cool, leafy, free-draining soil.

They will add colour, form and texture as well as movement in the garden and are ideal subjects for planting under deciduous trees and shrubs.

Ferns also associate well with herbaceous perennials in the mixed border and add bold foliage interest to a poolside setting.

Or why not try them in pots in shady areas of the garden, under-planted with miniature spring bulbs?
