Vicky has taken the Ophelia from Hamlet with flowers in her hair and put this poetry on to a collection.

This collection has flowers in deep reds whites and blues with the deep green foliage and stems against a white/cream background with the dark sky top.

The Ophelia’s Flower collection, designed by Vicky Lovatt has been inspired by her desire to bring the flowers from Shakespeare’s play ‘Hamlet’ into a work of art.

Ophelia, a character from this play did not choose the flowers randomly and neither has Vicky; Daisies (representing innocence) are woven in amongst Violets (faithfulness and lost youth), Poppies (sleep) and Wild Pansies. To complete her design Vicky has set ‘Ophelia’s Flowers’ against a rich mulberry background.
