Metasequoia glyptostroboides ‘Matthaei’ is a small and graceful tree, a slow-growing form of swamp cypress. It forms an upright conical shape, its green foliage becoming reddish russet in autumn. PLEASE NOTE: THIS CONIFER IS DECIDUOUS (will lose its needles in winter). Height 2m x Spread 90cm (5-6ft x 3ft) approx. in 10 years. Prefers full sun and moist ground, growing well in wet or very damp soils, although quite tolerant of most situations.
