Position:Â Plant on a moist well drained site preferably with normal to acid conditions. They will tolerate most positions but for the best autumn colour plant in full sun.
Pruning: Pruning is not necessary but branches may be thinned to encourage new growth, up to a quarter of the branches can removed each year. It is advisable to carry this out in late summer as it will cut down on any risk of disease entering the pruning cuts.
