A collection of 6 ‘Ashwood Strain’ plants. Prized for their fine display of exquisite flowers in shades of pink, yellow, orange, magenta and white from April to May. Their attractive foliage is held in rosettes and, being evergreen, creates interest all the year round.
We will do our very best to ensure they are different from each other but this may not always be possible as they are seed raised. Please note that if multiple collections are ordered, duplication may be inevitable.

Lewisia cotyledon Ashwood Strain is the one of the most renowned of our plant introductions. As a result of careful selection and hand-pollination, these evergreen perennials are prized for their fine displays of flowers. They come in a wide range of vibrant colours including yellow, white, pink, magenta, red, orange and apricot.
- Planting: A well-drained soil or compost is essential, neutral to slightly acid if possible, with plenty of added grit. Add perlite to compost to improve drainage.
- Aspect: Plant in a sunny, open position. Ideally should be protected from the sun during the hottest part of the day.
- Care: Feed occasionally with a sequestered iron feed to help maintain compost acidity. Remove finished flower stalks to promote repeat flowering. Lewisias are susceptible to being overwatered. Avoid water sitting in the crown of the plant.
