An interspecies hybrid, (H. niger and H. sternii) , combining the best characteristics of its parents.

Position:  These prefer a sunny position or a sheltered position in light shade with a rich, moist free draining soil.

Cultural advice:  In late Spring, remove old faded flower stems and all old foliage to encourage next year’s new growth.
