Overview
This lovely selection of Helleborus niger produces a mass of pure white, cup-shaped flowers above dark evergreen foliage, appearing from around Christmas time until early Spring (weather depending). It is lovely in a sheltered spot in the garden or can be used in a patio pot, bringing it into a cold porch or conservatory in winter to enjoy the blooms at close quarters.
Position:Â Grows best in semi-shade, planted in a deeply cultivated, moist but fairly well-drained soil, with added leafy compost. Try it against a wall or close to an evergreen shrub for added protection.
Cultural advice:Â Remove damaged leaves and old faded flower stems after flowering, unless you require the seed, to encourage next year’s new growth.
Full cultural instructions are sent with every order.
