Overview

Fagus sylvatica ‘Dawyck Gold’ is a fastigiate variety of beech with bright, golden foliage intially, mellowing to yellow-green in mid-summer.  In winter, the tree takes on the effect of a warm purple-brown colour when red buds and young shoots are produced. A  tall, dense columnar tree, ideal where space is limited or for creating an avenue of trees.

Position: Suitable for all locations and positions apart from waterlogged ground and coastal areas.

Pruning: No pruning is needed.
