Overview

An evergreen shrub with variegated leaves: dark yellow with central dark green blotches. Dense clusters of bright blue flowers bloom in late spring and early summer. Can be grown as a stand alone shrub or trained up a wall.

  • Planting: Plant in well-drained soil with shelter from strong winds. Add Tree and Shrub Planting Feed to aid development.
  • Aspect: Ceanothus grow best in full sun.
  • Care: Trim off dead wood and old flowers in spring using sharp secateurs. Do not hard prune. Apply a slow-release fertiliser in spring whilst the plant is still establishing.
