Ceanothus thyrsiflorus is a large vigorous shrub that is ideal for training against walls and fences. Produces an abundance of pale blue to deep blue flowers in spring, which are loved by pollinators.

- Planting: Plant in well-drained soil with shelter from strong winds. Add Tree and Shrub Planting Feed to aid development.
- Aspect:Â Ceanothus grow best in full sun.
- Care: Trim off dead wood and old flowers in spring using sharp secateurs. Do not hard prune. Apply a slow-release fertiliser in spring whilst the plant is still establishing.
