Overview
‘Yankee Point’ is a vigorous evergreen shrub with small, glossy, dark green leaves and clusters of deep blue flowers, produced in late spring through into summer. Although, we supply plants trained on a cane, it is typically grown in the garden as a free-standing, low, wide-spreading bush. Alternatively, it can be trained against a wall where it will attain a height of 6-8ft.
- Planting: Plant in well-drained soil with shelter from strong winds. Add Tree and Shrub Planting Feed to aid development.
- Aspect:Â Ceanothus grow best in full sun.
- Care: Trim off dead wood and old flowers in spring using sharp secateurs. Do not hard prune. Apply a slow-release fertiliser in spring whilst the plant is still establishing.
