Berberis thunbergii ‘Lutin Rouge’ is a compact deciduous shrub with bright red coloured foliage, excellent in contrast with lighter coloured foliage plants. Pinkish cream flowers are produced in April. It is suitable either as a specimen or in a group or a low hedge. Very tolerant, but best in full sun. Can be trimmed to shape in autumn. Foliage colour intensifies in autumn.
