Berberis thunbergii ‘Concord’ has attractive intense purple foliage, tightly clothing a neat compact, rounded deciduous bush through the summer. Pale straw yellow flowers are produced in April. It is excellent in contrast with bright yellow foliaged shrubs. Requires a deep, moist but well drained soil in sun or partial shade.
