Berberis thunbergii ‘Bagatelle’ is a beautiful small tight growing deciduous shrub with dark red wine-coloured foliage, excellent in contrast with lighter coloured foliage plants. Pale straw yellow flowers are produced in April. It is suitable either as a specimen or in a group or a low hedge. Very tolerant, but best in full sun. Can be trimmed to shape in autumn. Foliage colour intensifies in autumn.
