Berberis darwinii is an excellent dense evergreen shrub, clothed with a profusion of golden orange flowers during April, backed by dark green holly like foliage. Flowers are followed by dark blue berries in the autumn. Ideal for hedging.

Very tolerant of most soils and aspects apart from cold winds.
