A dwarf Hydrangea named after the home of a National Collection for NCCPG of Hydrangeas, Holehird Garden in the Lake District. Sensitive to PH and mineral changes in the soil, so colours will vary from Pink to Violet.
Position: They perform best when given a shady, cool moist root run and a sheltered aspect. For the best purple blooms plant in acid soil and encorporate hydrangea colourant.
Maintenance: Little pruning required just simply thin out old stems and remove the dead flowers to a pair of plump green buds in late spring.
