Blue mophead hydrangea producing a succession of flowers throughout the summer. Flowers on new basal shoots making it suitable for gardens that are subject to frost. Flower colour can change to mauve-pink if the natural soil type is neutral to alkaline.
Position: They perform best when given a shady, cool moist root run and a sheltered aspect. For the best blue blooms plant in acid soil and encorporate hydrangea colourant.
Maintenance: Little pruning required just simply thin out old stems and remove the dead flowers to a pair of plump green buds in late spring.
