A bushy perennial, relative of the sweet pea, with attractive clusters of purple flowers in spring above finely divided foliage.

Requires a position in either sun or dappled shade and a well drained soil.

It is dormant from mid-summer to early spring so it's advisable to associate it with plants that will give late summer interest.

Spread: 45-60cm
