Camellia japonica Apollo
- Planting: Camellias grow best in a neutral or acid soil that is moist and free-draining. If planting in containers use an ericaceous compost. Plant in a semi-shaded position with a westerly or sheltered northerly aspect to preserve buds and flowers from frost damage.
- Care: Water after planting and until well established. Make sure to water during prolonged dry spells during the summer. Water with rainwater if possible. Feed in early spring with an ericaceous fertiliser. Stop feeding after July.
