A lovely deciduous shrub with arching to horizontal branches and bold leaves that take on illuminous red and orange hues in autumn. Bright pink lace cap like flowers fading with age, are produced in abundance during May and early June and persist for several weeks. Good moist loam in sun or partial shade.
