Tulipa sprengeri is a wild tulip from Turkey. It may no longer exist in the wild.

 When Tulipa sprengeri reach flowering size, which can take 4-7 year from germination, you will will be rewarded with rich crimson blooms. Leave undisturbed to naturalise.

Tulipa sprengeri is a wild tulip from Turkey. Please have patience, it will take 4-7 years from germination until flowering.

Sow thinly 3mm deep in a seed tray and place in the shade. Autumn warmth follwed by winter cold, should provide ideal conditions for spring germination.

Transplant when developing bulbs are large enough to handle. Plant 5-8 cm deep (2-3in) in partial shade and leave undisturbed.
