Overview
A super small to medium sized deciduous tree with attractive flaking bark.
The flowers are white and cup shaped with pink tints with bright yellow anthers. The foliage is glossy green and turns shades of rusty reds in autumn.
Ideal for planting in woodland borders, although it will require sheltering from late spring frosts. This can be a difficult plant to establish, but is well worth considering.
Best in a well drained acid soil in a sheltered position.
