Overview

A clump forming alpine forming carpets or mounds of very small green rosettes. This variety is ideal for quickly covering bare patches in pots displays and rockeries. Produces clusters of white flowers on short red stems in early summer.

Cultural information

Saxifrages are robust, low maintenance alpine plants that are ideal for rock gardens and alpine glasshouses. They provide excellent ground cover in sunny or part shade areas and require very little watering, which can be further improved by mulching to increase water retention and protect the roots from colder weather conditions. Saxifrages have flowering periods ranging from spring to autumn, but provide year-round interest in their evergreen foliage.
