Large green-grey rosettes with each leaf having a raised rib in the centre. Produces clusters of white flowers during summer.

Cultural information

Saxifrages are robust, low maintenance alpine plants that are ideal for rock gardens and alpine glasshouses. They provide excellent ground cover in sunny or part shade areas and require very little watering, which can be further improved by mulching to increase water retention and protect the roots from colder weather conditions. Saxifrages have flowering periods ranging from spring to autumn, but provide year-round interest in their evergreen foliage.
