Overview
A noteworthy named dwarf variety of evergreen currant. This specimen is well suited to growing against a wall or fence or towards the back of a mixed shrub border. Unusually matt textured leather-like sage green leaves porvide an evergreen foil for spectacular hanging clusters of sweetly scented lime tinted creamy white flowers throughout late winter into early spring. Requires a sheltered position from strong winds and ideally in free draining soil.
This winter-flowering ribes deserves to be better known and, although rather slow to establish, it’s well worth the wait. Give it a semi-shaded position, well-protected from cold winds, on a moist but well-drained soil.
