A very pretty medium sized deciduous shrub with rich reddish purple foliage, dotted with masses of white tinged pink flowers in April.

Position: Tolerant of most soils but requires a well drained soil in full sun . Will make a lovely hedge. 

Pruning: No regular pruning neccessary. Light pruning should be carried out in late spring either to shape or remove any broken, damaged or diseased branches.
