Overview

Solomon’s Seal has great architectural presence in the garden. The tall, graceful, arching stems of dangling white bell flowers in late Spring are followed by a crop of blue-black berries in the Autumn. Some Autumn leaf colour is an added bonus. Beautiful in the woodland garden or shady border, combining well with ferns and hostas. it is also excellent for as a cut flower.

Polygonatum commutatum enjoys a moist, fertile soil that is well-drained and is happiest in partial shade.
Plants are a little slow to establish, but they are worth the wait.
