A robust medium sized, deciduous shrub, with creamy white richly scented flowers in early June against bright yellow young foliage which becomes greenish yellow in summer.

Position: Very tolerant but it prefers a position that is protected from the sun during the hottest part of the day. A lovely subject for dappled shade and a stunning companion for jewel-coloured tulips.

Pruning: Thin out the old wood after flowering in late spring.
