Overview
Oregano is a delicious flavour that features strongly for Mediterranean dishes – wonderful on pizzas. Perfect for growing in both beds and containers, it can be enjoyed fresh and can also be dried and kept for use out of season.
Pick leaves as required before the plant flowers to enjoy the very best flavour. They can be stored for up to a week in a sealed bag in the fridge. Save dried leaves and stems in an airtight container.
Planting: Best grown in a rich, moist, fertile soil in a bright and sunny position. Water thoroughly, before planting approx. 45cm (18ins) apart. Keep moist until established.
