Overview

A clump-forming perennial bearing aromatic green leaves. Produces tiers of pink flowers and bracts forming a shaggy flowerhead, on upright stems from midsummer to early autumn. Leaves can be used to make tea.

  • Planting: Prefers a fertile, free-draining soil.
  • Aspect: Thrives best in a sunny position, but will tolerate some shade.
  • Care: Remove faded flowers regularly using sharp secateurs to encourage more buds. Protect from excessive winter wet and do not allow to dry out in summer.
