Overview
A clump-forming perennial bearing aromatic, bronze-tinted green leaves. Produces tiers of large, dark-red flowers and bracts forming a shaggy flowerhead, on upright stems from midsummer to early autumn. Leaves can be used to make tea.

- Planting: Prefers a fertile, free-draining soil.
- Aspect: Thrives best in a sunny position, but will tolerate some shade.
- Care: Remove faded flowers regularly using sharp secateurs to encourage more buds. Protect from excessive winter wet and do not allow to dry out in summer.
