A large deciduous shrub or relatively small tree of open structured upright habit. Large goblet-shaped rose pink flowers with blushed white inner cover naked branches during early spring. Bold mid green leaves during the summer. Requires a relatively sheltered position in partial shade and a moist but well drained acid soil.
