SYN. MICHELIA ‘FAIRY WHITE’ A relatively slow growing evergreen shrub or tree, this rarely offered magnolia produces ovate dark glossy green leaves, velvety brown underneath. Masses of attractive scented creamy white flowers in early spring are produced from velvet bronze buds in Spring. It needs a warm sunny, or lightly shaded position, sheltered from cold winds, together with a free-draining neutral or acid soil, with plenty of organic matter added.
