Magnolia ‘Black Tulip’
£85.00
Overview
Magnificent goblet shaped blooms in a stunning black-purple colour. Flowers made up of heavily textured petals up to 6 inches across.
Planting:Â Choose a spot which is away from a frost pocket and is sheltered from northerly and easterly winds. Make sure that your chosen site is large enough, as magnolias need room to develop. Any reasonable acid to neutral garden soil will be suitable as long as it’s not too dry; bear in mind that most varieties dislike shallow chalky soils. Add plenty of peat or soil improver to the soil and avoid planting too deeply.
Pruning:Â Not necessary, but remove any dead wood or unwanted branches after flowering.
