Overview
A first-rate selection of this lovely ‘cottage garden’ twining climber. Prolific in flower with large, cream and yellow tubular flowers and a powerful perfume. This deciduous honeysuckle flowers later than most varieties and will give a good show of flowers from summer to autumn. It will often produce a crop of red fruits after a hot summer.
This plant is protected by plant breeders rights.
A robust and tolerant species ideal for sun or partial shade, on most soils, except waterlogged It’s a lovely subject for scrambling over a wall or fence or growing through an established tree.
Established plants may be cut back after flowering, removing a third of the flowering shoots. Plants will also benefit from a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of well-rotted compost or manure around the base of the plant in early spring.
