Overview
The winter flowering jasmine produces and abundance of bright yellow flowers from November until February, on naked green branches. Small dark green leaves then appear afterwards in summer. Plant in full sun or partial shade in well drained soil, and prune immediately after flowering. Ideal plant to add a bit of colour in the garden during dull winter months.

This plant belongs to (Pruning Group 2), as it flowers on short shoots developing from the previous year’s growth.
Pruning: Group 2 plants need pruning after the first flush of flowers in summer to allow maximum time for the new growth to develop. Avoid heavy pruning. Prune back by cutting to large buds or a strong side shoot immediately below the spent blooms. Cut off spindly stems.
Cultural information: Plant in moist soil in a sunny position for best results.
Support: Jasminum nudiflorum does not twine like other jasmines but can be trained up a suporrt as a climber. Use a framework of twine, trellis or wires and tie in branches when they are young and flexible.
