A medium to tall variety of good constitution. Large mopheads of rose pink, and on acid soil a vivid deep blue. The old flower heads colour well in autumn, producing a variety of rich red shades which dry well.Â
Position: They perform best when given a shady, cool moist root run and a sheltered aspect. For the best clear blue blooms plant in acid soil and encorporate hydrangea colourant.
Maintenance:Â Mophead hydrangeas require little pruning, simply thin out old stems and remove the dead flowers to a pair of plump green buds in late spring.
