Overview
A compact, deciduous shrub with coarsely toothed dark green foliage and large, double blue star-shaped lace cap flower heads, edged with white, which appear in the summer. Flowers on new and old wood.
Position:Â They perform best when given a shady, cool moist root run and a sheltered aspect.Â
Maintenance:Â Mophead hydrangeas require little pruning, simply thin out old stems and remove the dead flowers to a pair of plump green buds in late spring.
