Overview

Grown for its ornamental value, its fragrance and its taste. Curry plant is an excellent decorative herb. Its flavour is mildly spicy, and it can be used to season sauces and home-made mayonnaise.

Best grown in a sheltered spot and a rich, fertile soil in full sun.

Planting: water thoroughly, before planting approx 80cm (32ins) apart. Keep moist until established, and water generously during dry spells.

Prune regularly to maintain a good compact habit.
