Overview
Easy to grow, deciduous with green leaves. A mass of fragrant white flowers in spring, followed by bright red ‘haws’ in autumn. Loved by wildlife.
A bundle of 10 plants potted for convenience.
Good soil preparation is the key to a good start. Dig a trench 45cm (1.5ft) wide and 1ft deep. Dig in plenty of organic matter. Adding lime free gravel to the base if the soil is heavy clay. The preparation can be done the month before to allow the ground to settle prior to planting. Plant at the same depth as supplied. Mulch after planting, keeping mulch away from stems. Water well for the first two years.
