Overview
Probably the most popular and reliable form with grey-green young foliage opening to slightly wavy edged leaves of a lovely greyish appearance. The male catkins which develop in January or February are of a greyish-green colour up to 20cm (8 ins). in length. Best against a sheltered wall in a well drained soil.
Pruning: Needs little to no pruning, so is ideal for a low maintenance garden. Prune after flowering to maintain shape and remove any dead, damaged or diseases branches.
Cultural information: Grow in well drained soil in full sun or partial shade.
